When you look in the mirror and your skin is not as elastic as it used to be, and you start to notice wrinkles, then it’s time to take actions!

Traditional recommendations- change your lifestyle, try not to stress so much and definitely implement sports activities. Cosmetic procedures are not always effective and affordable and most of the time they help to hide  aging problems temporarily, without eliminating the causes.

Our skin is a reflection of our body. No Cosmetic Procedures can help until the body is in poor health conditions.

Several years ago, cosmetologists and dermatologists noticed that Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids do not only slow down the aging of the skin but also eliminate a significant portion of aging problem.

Why does the skin age ?

Our skin has an elastic foundation, consisting of interwoven fibers of connective tissues known as collagen. Over time, the amount of collagen decreases and those age changes occur.

What is bad for skin?

I listed the main factors that harm the skin:

  • Oxygen
  • Sun
  • Heat
  • Mental Stress
  • Toxic Substances

In addition to already mentioned factors there are dozens of factors that can lead to skin aging. Simply to say that almost any excessive exposure triggers the destruction of collagen.

How Omega-3 fatty acids slows the aging  of the skin?

Antioxidants - substances that oppose the cell damage by oxygen and products of its activity. In varying degrees of inherent antioxidant properties of vitamin A (retinol), selenium, fruit extracts, and hundreds of other substances.

Omega-3 fatty acids counteract inflammation. Sometimes inflammation of the skin is tightened and  becomes chronic. This is not just allergies and illnesses, but also regular aggressive actions. For example, the daily exposure to the sun. You’ve probably noticed some wrinkles are formed as early as 30-40 years living in the south where  a lot of people  like sunbathing. The reason for this aggressive exposure of the sun and the resultant chronic inflammation of the deeper skin layers.

By preventing chronic inflammation in the skin, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids eliminates the conditions for the intense destruction of collagen and slow the aging process.

As a result, under the influence of omega-3 fatty acids, elastic skin collagen framework is no longer excessively break down and is gradually restored. The skin retains elasticity and youthful look.
